Creative Kharma offers consignment services for local artists, collectors, vintage/antiques dealers and artisans.
All merchandise is juried for quality, cleanliness, overall fit with the shop, and age. We attempt to ensure non-competition between artists and artisans by not accepting two vendors with overly similar merchandise.
If you are considering consigning, please come in and familiarize yourself with our current merchandise and the "feel" of the shop. We're eclectic & artsy, and try to choose new sellers whose goods enhance that vibe. If you feel the shop would be a good fit for your merchandise we ask that you bring us a representative sampling of the items you have to sell. If you have large items, photos are acceptable and even preferred. (New items are juried on a continual basis.)
One other term that will have bearing on your decision to consign is - all items coming into the shop are on an "as space allows" basis. There are no "spaces" like many consignment shops. You bring your goods to us, we place them in vignettes. If it doesn't fit, or "fit in" at the moment, we reserve the right to ask that the item be taken home (to be brought back, or not, at our discretion.)
When you bring your items to be juried, please be aware that the process can take as long as 10 days. There are 3 partners who must vote.
Our current fees are $30.00 rent per month, plus 15% of total monthly sales. There is a one time $10.00 fee for startup. These rental and startup fees are paid prior to being assigned your vendor number.
Our contract is month to month, with either the vendor or Creative Kharma retaining the right to end the contract at any time. Please make a copy of your contract before returning it and keep it for your records.
We are currently not accepting:
* Glassware/China
* Jewelry
* Newer mass manufacture items unless they are reproductions of vintage/antique items (and clearly labeled as such)
And to save you time, we have a few "House Goods" (things we always carry), so in the interest of keeping the doors open, we will never accept the following:
* Candles
* Heat wraps/packs
